ChiroSquad Review

September 28, 2010

A few months ago, I started following Dr. Vic Naumov's facebook posts about Chiro-Squad, a series of chiropractic superhero trading cards for kids. It was definitely an amusing and somewhat bizarre approach to marketing chiropractic.

In case you have no idea what I'm talking about...Chiro-Squad is a group of chiropractic superheros named after the vertebrate (Thoracico, Cervico, Thoracica, etc). Each card features one of the heroes and includes their background, the anatomy of each vertebrate, spinal nerve associations, and an appropriate chiropractic principle.

For example, Thoracica...

Name: Rosa DeMolay
Origin: Tuscany, Italy
Master Adjustment Technique: Anteriority
Spinal Bone: T11
Body Parts Supplied by t11: Kidneys, Ureters
Possible Common Health Problems: Skin conditions like acne or pimples, eczema, boils
Chiropractic Principle #26: Comparison of Universal and Innate Forces - In order to carry on the universal cycle of life, Universal forces are destructive, and Innate forces constructive, as regards structural matter.

Dr. Naumov was kind enough to send us a sample packet last month and we've been playing with them in the office ever since. In fact, we were joking about putting up a "Chiro-Squad" poster. Check out the cards for yourself...

The cards are little wordy for kids but we got a kick out of them here at the office. They're quirky, kitsch, and unabashedly shameless (I recommend checking out their website!).

All in all, we really enjoyed them and I recommend picking up a few packs for your office. If nothing else, your staff and patients will get a good laugh....just don't expect to revolutionize your practice.

** Cool idea: customizable Chiro-Squad cards with your clinic info on them. **
