  4. Clear "Call to Action"
  5. Informative Footer

From here there are simple things you can do to update and optimize your website!

5 Quickie Tips to Update & Optimize Your Chiropractic Website

1. Speed Matters!

A slow site speed is a clear path to a horrible and/or non-existent user experience. Buzz kill...not to mention if a person is seeking care this will likely make them even more frustrated. You’ve probably experienced this many times. Whether it’s an image coming up painfully slow and/or the site simply taking forever to load it’s not going to fly. If it’s not instant a potential patient will move onto the next page. Some ways to speed things up are making sure your images are not slowing down the site. Also working with templates that are hosted by a reliable hosting service. There are tools you can utilize to test your web speed under various internet connection speeds.

2. Post Fresh Content with a Blog

Since you are considered the expert on Chiropractic at your practice (or perhaps there are a few of you) current and potential patients will appreciate seeing fresh and timely content on your site. Whether you are producing this content on your own or you are using a service to produce these posts it shows you are actively updating information. It’s a red flag if the content on your site is dusty or non-existant. Perhaps you use a service to automatically post for you and also sprinkle in some of your own original content from time to time to keep it personal this reflects positively on you. Not to mention search engines love fresh and original content. Therefore, you will show up higher in search engine results pages (SERPS)!

3. Responsive Websites are Expected

The most recent stats show that over half of patients will search for a doctor on a mobile device. Again, whether you are using a template or theme based website service or not you need to double and triple check that your website is “responsive”. Meaning a patient or a potential patient will be able to view your site with ease on a mobile device or desktop computer. In short, whether a person is on their phone, tablet, laptop, etc. on any size screen, any version and across any browser your site shows up clean and brilliant. If not you will surely lose business.

4. SEO Enabled

Many website templates and themes come with various levels of SEO enabled technology to catch the attention of various search engines. Think Google. It will pay to know how much or how little SEO optimization is included in your service. If there is some there are likely still ways you can optimize this by adding rich snippets, meta data, keywords, etc. Just ask whoever manages your website and see what else can be done to strengthen your site to stand out in a search. If you need to start from scratch there are a lot of ways to do so without becoming overwhelmed. You want to appear as high up on the page as possible.

5. Know Your Numbers!

A lot of Chiropractors and other business owners assume analytics and reporting are for the experts. There are actually some very simple tools to use to track your traffic and your success. Google Analytics is a good place to start. Bonus land...it’s not only comprehensive and has become far easier to read it’s also free.

Remember that a website is a work in progress. It will pay off to stay on top of website trends. By doing so you will ultimately be ahead of the pack. It’s surprising what a positive impact a few simple updates can have upon the success of your practice!
