Great Chiropractic Blogging Tips

July 07, 2012

Chiropractic blogging is different from many other types of writing. You may find it difficult at first, and so do most people. But a great business blog will eventually bring patients to your website, and enable you to build relationships with existing patients.

Don’t Give Up Before You Even Get Started

When you have written your first few blog posts, it can feel like you are talking to the wall. And maybe you are, or maybe people are reading but not commenting on your posts. Only a tiny percentage of readers actually comment on blog posts, so don’t get disheartened and give up too quickly.

Write Down Ideas to Use Later

If you are not used to writing, you may find it difficult to come up with ideas to write about. This is perfectly normal, and after a while ideas will come to you when you’re not trying to find them. Write them down, and save them in drafts on your blog with a few notes, so that you can use them later. If you really struggle to come up with ideas, outsource your blog posts to a writer.

Don’t Try To Do Too Much

Build your chiropractic blog up slowly. It may seem like a good idea to post once or twice on a daily basis, but that is quite an ambitious task, especially if you are writing the posts yourself. Updating your chiropractic blog once or twice a week is more than enough.

If You Don’t Have the Time – Outsource

The actual writing of your blog, and any associated marketing activities can soon take up a large amount of your time. So it makes a lot of sense to outsource the bulk of the work sooner, rather than later. If you’re not used to writing regularly, an experienced blog writer will be able to write posts far faster than you can, so it may be more cost effective than you think.

Read Regularly in Your Niche to Get Ideas for Posts

Get into the habit of reading regularly in the chiropractic field and also on holistic health in general. Not only will it keep you up to date on new ideas and research that will be useful to your business, it will also help you to generate ideas for your blog posts.

Let Your Readers Generate Your Content

People are often happy to contribute once you ask them. So create some short snappy blog posts asking readers relevant questions. They won’t take you long to write and they could spark an interesting discussion in the comments section. Also use reader questions in your blog comments section and on social media pages to generate ideas for future blog posts.
